Weekend Ruined!

The sun is shining here in Oregon and the weather this weekend is supposed to be great! Was really looking forward to loading up a bunch of 45 colt and taking out the Rossi Ranchhand. Getting the loading bench set up and ready to start loading I am pleased with the large quantity of brass, bullets and powder...then I go to my primer supply and HORROR!!!!!! I forgot to stock up on primers last summer and I have NONE.

Guess I'll be putting the Rossi away for the next year or so.

I absolutely HATE this administration!

You've got to feel bad when you're told by the gun store owner that you're purchasing the last case of large pistol primers to be had in town.

Anyone else taking inventory of their shooting components?

I swore I wouldn't get caught short if there was another shortage. Jokes on me.

I certainly didn't stock up like I should have, but I do still have some stock left. Now I'm hoping this will get fixed within the next few months... as I can't do any loading or shooting until I finish this extended "out of town work session" courtesy of my uncle...

I used to practice a lot with airguns, just because it's good trigger time and very convenient.
Now I do it 'cause there's not much choice.
Ammo and component supply shortages = backdoor gun control?

No shortage of primers here. i still have two types of primers that were hoarded up during the "Clinton is going to mandate self sterilizing primers" craze.

Don't blame the administration.......they have done nuttin' YET to reduce the numbers of primers being produced/sold, nor are they proposing anything that would. Blame fellow reloaders that are hoarding and stocking up in huge numbers outta unfounded fear(just like 4 years ago). Blame yourself for not keeping enough primers on hand for a least one good day at the range. Fear not, the increased production after the last frenzy should mean the shortage will not last as long. Unfortunately, prices have already jumped.

^^^This^^^

Although the current shortage of primers(or ammo for that matter) is not being done by this administration's direct proposed ban on primers, brass, ammo etc., the shortage is a direct by-product of what this administration is attempting to do with gun control in general.

I think it is wise to suspect bans on these components or at least a huge tax on them may very well be in the future.
