never seen a 45 like this...

IMAG0581.jpg found this on one of our job sites last week, i am 23 and have seen never seen one like this. i thought it might be a hand load so that's why i posted it here. its a 45 acp no other markings on the case at all

Looks like a match load with the 185 grain Remington SWC.

Yep. Used to be very, very popular. Think green & white box, back when Remington garnered more respect at every angle of the industry -- deservedly so.

Folks who don't handload don't seem to be familiar with semi or full wad cutter bullets.
The last time I was at the range, some young fellows were interested in my .45.
So I invited them to try it.
They also became very interested in the weird looking ammo they had never seen before.
200 grain LSWC.
They kind of liked how accurate it was, and how easy they could see the holes in the targets, from 25 yards.

I've got a full box I put on my gun show table each year ( had them at least the last 3 years )

My box say's "match" ammo Just like HAMMER described 185 grain SWC

I am not as old as many of us regulars in this forum, but that's almost astonishing. They should pull your man card if you can't identify an H&G68 slug.

I think .45 acp accuracy potential would be realized by more shooters if more people were aware of this loading. It's still my all-time best long range target load for the 1911.
