44 rem special ? buffalo arms

They have a rem 1858 krist konverter cylinder in 44 rem special,is this 44 special the same as 44 s w special ? on the page they have a box of 44 mag cartridges fer sale,Im wonderin if there .429 or .451,please enlighten me

There's the .44 S&W Special and the .44 Remington Magnum cartridges.

The .44 Remington Magnum is a lengthened .44 S&W Special cartridge case.
The .44 S&W Special is a lengthened .44 Russian.
The .44 Remington Magnum bullet has a diameter of .429".

Since the .44 Remington has a bore of .450 you will have to use hollow base bullets. The .45 Colt is a better choice.
