Well, I caught a "woodchuck", as we call them here in Northern New Hampshire, in a have-a-heart trap and transported him across the river and into Vermont.

Do grackle birds count?

You know those black ones with the funny V-tail feathers,,,
They absolutely take over my yard and deposit their crap on everything.

I told the neighbor kid I would give him a dime for everyone he shot,,,
In one Saturday he (with a Gamo .177) earned $12.80.

I went ahead and tipped him up to $15.00,,,
Didn't even put a dent in the population.

PD Count

The worst results in 12 yrs. 63-Prairie Rats, didn't even shoot my age. Wind this year was ferocious. We drove 1,200 mi. one way, completely blown out for 2 days, so bad that on our way, I-40 was shut down 2 hrs. for high winds at one point. It was a disappointing year to introduce my grandson to varmint hunting. I told my rancher buddy that we'll do better next trip.

Previously the count varies between 150~250+

I was able to spend some quality time with my grandson & visit some points of interest along the way. The journey was a good one...
