Ruger builds a nice rifle, I own a bunch of them, and they have all been straight shooters. To me a mauser action rifle is solid. flyboy

Get a Ruger 77/22 Hornet like mine, or a Ruger Hawkeye in .358 Winchester like mine...........or a Hawkeye in .300 Win. Mag. like the one I am gonna get. I love Ruger's, both their rifles and pistols, and am always looking to give another one a good home.

crankylove i used to have a 77/22hornet and i wish very much i had it back but reloading was aggrivating because you crush the necks on the brass too easily and factory ammo is expensive .. well now so is everything else i guess

i wish more people were aware of the 338 federal so that you could find reloading components easier for it(brass)but it seems that the 338 federal may be overshadowed bt the 338 ruger compact magun which has somewhat better ballistics
Brass is the easiest thing to get for the .338 Federal, just run some .308 through your sizing die and there you have it. May not be properly headstamped but that isn't a big deal for me. I wouldn't worry too much about the .338 RCM either as all it does is duplicate a .338-06 A-Square for the most part, but does it in a short action.

BTW here is your long range coyote rifle: http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firear...=7891&return=Y
