Hi!
I'm a new member with a question regarding an older model left handed Remington 1100 12 Ga shotgun with 2 3/4 chambers.
Sometimes during recoil and cycling, the operating handle will pop out.
There have been thousands of shells fired in this great shotgun in trap & skeet shooting.
Hate to purchase a new bolt assembly.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

On my 1100 28 gauge, that happened a few times. There is/was on mine a small flat piece of metal with a hole in the center that served as the ball detent for the handle. Mine had cracked and was letting the handle fly off on occasion. A friend had that happen with an older Beretta now and again. Hos solution was to tightly secure a small piece of brightly colored survey tape to it, so when it went flying, he could easily spot it. For me, I got the broken part replaced
