Dan Wesson 715 Pistol Pack

Just don’t see these now out of production sets coming available often so I snatched this one up today. Came with all the case candy, 2-1/2”, 4”, 6”, 8” barrels, EKW muzzle brake, & three other grips everything unused/unfired.
I have a 15-2 pack & everything is compatible, had extra green fiber optic front sights I swapped & look forward to deflowering it next weekend.

Nice. I have the .357 mag, the .44 mag, and the .445 supermag.

Very nice! Like the muzzle break and FO front sights. I have a similar set up and a factory wood grip (not pictured) as well. It's nice to have these packs, or even just the revolver alone.

My snub barrel doesn't match like yours & looks to be from a different manufacturer (EKW?) & wasn't part of the original kit. I had the fiber optic sights leftover from my 15-2 pack & installed them so I have some consistency when shooting these. Got some wadcutters coming that I'll get loaded up & compare the two next weekend. The late 70's DW feels like it has the better trigger & I need to get the new one broke in a bit to compare apples to apples. The CZ era cases aren't near as nice as the old padded DW cases that's for sure.

Your snub barrel I think is an EKW "Slab Side" model, and I like that look at least in pics I've seen of it.

Your 15-2 pack was one of my dream grail guns in 1979 along with a 6" blued Colt Python. Never got any blued ones but I do have this DW 715 pack and a modern stainless 6" Python. Not as classy as the blued guns, but it'll have to do. Same with the DW CZ cases. Not near as classy as the old Pack cases.

Oddly enough my 2.5" snub bbl doesn't match exactly, but it is factory DW. I think it's because they didn't put a vent in the top, but who knows.

One of the sexiest and best all around .357s!

I think I would use the 8" barrel most as .357 really gets a big advantage from barrel length.

I loaded up my first batch of 357 wad cutters & shot both DW’s & a Kimber K6. Range was only 35’ & loads were light & accurate. They sure punch a perfect hole.
They’re all great revolvers & at this short range the Kimber was shooting some of the best groups both slow & fast fire.

I wanted a S&W 625 for a long time, had some money put aside for when the right deal came a long. Then a Monsoon Dan Wesson 744 showed up for an incredible price and I have never looked back. My 744 came with an 8" barrel and scope. I added 4" and 2 1/2" CZ barrels to it along with the EWK brake. What a fantastic package!

I have dreuled over the 715's but could never make the leap to buy one. Mainly because I don't load for 357 but it is also a pretty big gun confining it to be pretty much another range gun for me.

I would love to find a Dan Wesson stainless in 22lr with multiple barrels. I have passed on a couple of the blued versions just because I prefer stainless... and didn't have the money when the blued 22's came along.
