sporterized mas 36

So ive just come into a sporterized mas 36 done by golden state arms.
Its been in a basement for years moderate pitting
On the barrel and a little on the action itself.
It functions feeds and fires the bore isnt great but
Shoots straight so my questions is i know i can get new
Wood and parts but i cant find a barrel and i would like to restore
It but if i cant i would thread the muzzle and throw a long
Flash hider or muzzle brake on to lengthen it has anyone done this

ebay would probably be your best bet for the barrel, numrich would be best for the rest of the parts if you can find surplus parts in stock, if not, then ebay for those as well.

Thanks very much for the ebay angle i never knew
They had gun parts at all i like some odd firearms in
Odd calibers so anything i can find sometimes is a great help
No barrels there right now but i found a bayonet
I just detest sporterizing these guns professional bubba

I've learned my lesson, sporterizing is too much trouble and the end result(unless you go very expensive and custom) is never as good as an equivalently priced modern rifle. I don't begrudge anyone that does it though. it's their stuff, they are free to do with it as they please.
