should I take it? Noveske AR @MSRP

I Know the market is going crazy now, but I really want a quality AR since earliervlast year. I have a Magpul LBK and a burris sight lying around for a while, could not find any reasonable upper/lower

My LGS has just got a new Noveske AR15, it is the very basic one : 16 inch chrome lined barrel, plastic handguard, flattop with fold sight, basic everything, msrp is 1640, LGS ask for 1699 OTD.

My question is, is it a deal or not? Thanks for any input.

These days it's a 'deal.' Considering that Del Ton ARs are going for that price the Noveske's certainly going to sell at that price--quickly.

If I was in the market, I'd do it and do it quickly. Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all for today's market.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

Even in the best of times, Noveske stuff commanded a premium.

sadly it is gone, the store told me it was sold over phone. A man wait outside the store one hour before the store open to grab it....

In today's market that's a fantastic deal, especially since Noveske died recently and no one knows what's going to happen with his company.

According to the his family/the company, John had planned for all contingencies - including his death. Supposedly everything is in order to keep the company operating as normal with little-to-no interruption in production.

I have a Noveske lower and I couldn't be happier with their product.

I'm sorry that you missed out on that purchase, however I think that 1.7k for a two-piece handguard is too much for me.

That's good news; I hope that's what happens. Though you never know what changes a company will make when its ownership changes.
