Our second IDPA match

My friend Angela and I entered our second 'fun shoot' IDPA match this evening and it was a real eye opener, as it was done in near darkness.

Things we learned:

Lasers are a good thing.

Weapon mounted light is preferred to a handheld, as shooting one handed is nowhere near as accurate.

Get familiar with reloading procedures, blindfolded.

Double stack guns are a plus (I have both single and double).

IDPA is a LOT of fun.

Oh...and as we were shooting shotguns, I can really see where a Saiga 12 would come in handy as we had to switch bird/buck/slugs.

Low light for your second shoot is really jumping in the deep end. Glad you had fun.
