History Channel now casting season 2 of TOP SHOT!
If you are skilled with a pistol, rifle or any other firearm, you could win $100,000 in prizes on season 2 of History Channel’s hit competition show TOP SHOT. Producers are looking for anyone with mind-blowing shooting skills and a big personality to take on exciting physical challenges with multiple guns and mystery projectile weapons. It doesn’t matter if you’re a professionally trained shooter or a self-taught, average Joe (or Jane!). As long as you’re in good physical shape, have mastered a firearm and can adapt to new weapons and demanding physical situations, you could be America’s next “Top Shot.”
APPLY TODAY! To apply, email [email protected] with your name, city/state, phone number, a recent photo of yourself and a brief explanation of why you should be on the show. Deadline to apply is August 12, 2010. For more information, visit www.pilgrimfilms.tv and click on “CASTING” or call 818-478-4570 for more information TODAY! * Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, a resident or citizen of the United States and reasonably proficient with shooting and marksmanship |

No thanks.
Top Shot season 1 is ruined, completely ruined, by the backstabbing, belongs-in-a-noon-time-soap-opera nonsense that happens in between the shooting. I expect season two to dumb-down the shooting and play up the drama.

They need to remove the voting crap - if you score lowest, you're gone, period. Hold multiple rounds/events/whatever and average the scores at the end if you need to.
But of course, that would eliminate the precious highschool drama. |

It would be nice to have another person from the forum on the show.
What television needs is more acerbic, dyspeptic, snark. Anyone on the forum fit that bill? |

Somebody start a "draft Tamara" thread.
Here's hoping she doesn't quote William Tecumseh Sherman on the issue of drafts. |

To the OP:
I know you only have 3 posts. One of which was when announced the 1st season. The 3rd was to start this thread. Assumedly the one in the middle was to announce when the first episode of season 1 was going to air. I just wanted to give you a little tip, in the unlikely event you'll ever read this visit this forum before announcing the scheduled air date for season 2. There is a LONG thread about your show already. To summarize it for you, I started after seeing the commercial and predicted mediocre at best. (I'm often a buzzkill though) and most others said they'd "give it a chance." Well, the general consensus is that the premise is OKAY but after 2 or 3 episodes all the reality show "drama" REALLY hurts the show appeal to those that really enjoy the shooting sports and firearms. Most people have quit watching it entirely on here. (Personally, I flip back&forth between it and family guy re- runs. The only parts I watch are the actual shooting practice and challenge parts. Clearly, I'm not a programming director but if you want to get firearm enthusiasts to watch your channel more might I suggest..... Make new episodes of "Tales of the Gun" Do another season of "Lock & Load" Do more documentaries like "High Impact:M16" (I know that you show those re-runs on the Military Channel often but bring 'em to the regular History Channel.) -EdInk P.S. Enough with the Tannerite.

Completely, utterly not interested in 'Top Shot'.
It was great at first, watching the guys trying to shoot unfamiliar weapons, but the surreal target setups and the Jersey Shore style drama quickly snuffed any interest in the show. |
