Natchez has primers

I ordered 2K small pistol and 1K large rifle.

They have .308 brass as well from Hornady and some 9mm ammo.

looks like this "shortage" is not going to last long. At this rate every thing will be back to normal by May or June

That'd be a solid 6 months +, about the same as previous shortages.

Thanks for the heads up, I had been looking for some large rifle and small pistol primers.

I ordered some more primers, not that I was out, but I just wanted a little cushion on my inventory. They had a limit on how many you could order.

I remember not being able to find SPP's online until August 09, here we are 6 - 7 weeks into this one and they are starting appear. This one did not really start until last week or two of December.

I think that is sue to 2 reasons, one is people see that congress is not going to do diddly squat and more people were better stocked up. Some people probably still shooting stuff that they hoarded 4 years ago

Yes they had a 2k limit on the primers makes it expensive with the hazmat and shipping added. I was down to my last 100 so i was in need. Under my normal shooting habits i run through a 1k a month.

$35.12 per 1K for CCI 500, not too bad. At least it wouldn't be if you could order 5K at a time. But $120 for 2k primers by the time you add hazmat and shipping is still too high for me. Still, good to see that there are some available, somewhere, for those who really need them.

Thanks to the OP for the heads up, I just ordered 2000 primers 2lbs of true blue powder and an extra turret head for when I start loading 38's. I may have saved $30 if I could find all of that local and not paid shipping and hasmat, but I'm just happy I can enjoy my hobby through this shortage.

I almost put in a back order through brownells last week, but when I called to ask some questions they said it may be April till my order shipped. The next day the primers weren't even available for backorder. I had mixed feelings about missing out on the back order but it looks like it worked out for thr better.

I agree the price is steep and i normally order 10k at a time plus powder so it makes alot cheaper. Even still at that price your still shooting cheaper then buying factory ammo and making ammo that should be alot more accurate in your gun. I normally buy from grafs due to their price is better using my c&r for the dealer discount but no one seems to have anything comming in. I also have been using tula for a year now and like the results and they are even cheaper yet. As far as getting the stuff local no one in my little town has anything in stock and they dont see getting any in foreseeable future.

That puts primers at nearly $60 a thousand. They were only $50 a thousand at the last gun show.
