Case Cleaning
I go to gun shows where people sell used brass [38 45 9mil etc].This is AS NEW on the outside as well as the inside. Ask about how it is done but they do not want to share this process. I suspect possibly some type of acid??.Anyone know how they could be doing this??? Thanks

Welcome to the forum!!
The brass is probably cleaned with some sort of chemical cleaner, like Iosso. Here is an article from Real Guns that explains it. www.realguns.com/archives/072.htm Good Luck... Joe

There are several ways to clean powder residue off of brass.
One method is using a chemical bath that loosens the powder and the subject the cases to ultra-sonic vibrations. Usually this cleans the cases pretty well. Another way is tumbling the brass in a dry media, like crushed walnut shells or such. The constant vibration and "churning" of the cases through a couple of pounds of shells scours the cases clean without scratching them.
