Eotech question

I just purchased an Eotech OPMOD EXPS 2. Does anyone know what the "ideal" range is to sight it in? I've heard 25 yds and with that I won't have any issues shooting out to 200-300 yds, etc. The average distance I will be shooting the majority of the time will be around 100yds and less but with an occasional 200-300 yard target at most. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

For the most part, I think you answered you're own question. Sight it where you expect to shoot most, then practice hold over shooting at longer ranges.

That XPS is a nice little sight; good runtme, transverse battery config to eliminate battery bounce.

i use a 300 m zero all the time so it's just a habit for me when i used a red dot. you might be better off zeroing at 100m because the compensation for 200m, 300m ect, is easy. plus, most of your engagements will be right around the 100m range. if you're going to zero at 25m for a 300m zero, make sure you get the correct eotech zero target. your poi should be about an inch below your poa

There are basically two methods, well explained here: http://ar15zeroing.com/ . I prefer to use the Improved Battle Sight Zero (IBSZ), or 50/200 meter zero.

i agree with gearhounds, i would site it in at 100 yds b/c that's what you are primarily shooting at.
