DevLcL=you're a candy a** wimp :rolleyes: --a 12 bore from such a he man like yourself, why not a 10 bore or better still an 8 bore or even a 4 bore and in your 1800's design stock, with lots of drop of heel, crescent butt stock and steel butt plate, oh and in a light weight version so you can carry it easier when going to investigate that bump in the night...by the way, do you go deer hunting with a .700 NE? OH, they probably did take a 20G but as a .62 cal trade gun/musket.
You match the gun and caliber to the game and conditions...I know lots of people who only own one shotgun (usually a 12G) and use it for everything, (just changing the powder loads and/or shot size to match the game), whether from economics or preference doesn't matter...others I know have guns, some even multiple guns, in every or just about every modern gauge available--kinda hard to shoot multi gauge skeet with only a 12G--unless you have barrel inserts. Why? Is it because of the challenge of less shot? Reduced recoil? Less carry weight? Size appropiate to person's frame, gender or age? Yes to all of the above!

Zombie indeed....
Perhaps a Manly Man, with his Manly 12 gauge can finally shoot this zombie thread and kill it (in true Manly fashion). Maybe all of us with our UnManly Un12 gauges cant seem to get it done..... lol |

Well if he is hanging in his garage, it is probably because he realized that 28GA is king and he could no longer live with the shame of not owning one.
That or he shot so many 3.5 mag 12's that he incurred brain damage.

I am just "a kid" so the "20ga only for wimps, women and children" applies ; I have shot 3" mag slugs out of a 12 gauge shotgun i weigh in at around 114lbs and am 5'4'', now I had fun for the first 3 SHOTS, then I felt like I had been tackled by a 350lb line backer multiple times. I also could not hit the 50yrds steel plates that are 15"x15". swtched to 20 gauge slugs and hit em every time.

"What ever happened to the 6ga. and the 8ga.?"
Outlawed in the U.S. for hunting. 24 + 32 = 56, divided by 2 = 28. I only have one 28 ga. so far, but I'm looking. I'm thinking I need a high-grade 1100. John |
