I am starting to work up some practice loads for a new Kimber (my first 1911, and first .45). Has anyone tried the Laser-Cast 200g RNBB .452 bullet as a practice load? Did they function reliably in your 1911? What type of powder and charge weight did you settle on? Is there an ideal powder for practice loads for the .45?

Any information would be helpful. Just looking for an economical load that will function reliably and not break the bank!

I haven't used laser cast's RNBB bullets, but I did use their 200 SWC. I have found Winchester Super Target(WST) at about 5.0 grains is a good charge for the 200 gr cast bullets. It seems to burn a little more cleanly than most other powders I have tried.
