Good start! You do know that reloading equipment/tools have a tendency to breed and grow in number, don't you? They seem to know just how much room they have to expand and go just beyond that. My "shop" started with 2 empty benches and lo and behold, 2 years later I can barely see the bench tops or walls (covered with peg board and tools and cabinets!

Good start. You need better lighting. As both have already been previously stated.
I like a mix of fluorescent and incandescent light. I like a lot of light. A lot. I'm curious: Are you left-handed, by chance? If not, you need to move your press way to the right side of your bench.

I keep mine clean. But it's not that big. This is a nice loading area for sure.

Your reloading room is never finished. Don't fool yourself into thinking that it is.

It looks large enough for an airgun range.
Maybe a video shoot-em-up game, too. And where's the refrigerator? Couch for naps? Computer to stay in touch? You have a long way to go, still.

Looks very nice, and yeas a dedicated man cave ( reloading area) is great!
I have pretty much over the last 3 years inched my wife out of the Basement room. She had it set up for scrap booking, but she thought it was too cold. Been sneaking her stuff out little by little. I now have 85% Out of all the lighting I have tried. I found good florescent Lighting is really nice to have. |

Great start!
As the kids move out, be sure you grab those rooms too. "But honey, I need a dedicated space to clean my rifles. You wouldn't want all those poisons in the living room, woodya?!?

Be careful with fluorescent lighting and digital equipment (scales and what not).
Though I've not had any negative experiences with it personally, there are multiple posts concerning how fluorescent light can impact digital readout equipment. |

"I like it!!"__ Simple layout but efficiently thought out. {reenforced table, good lighting} Has a view of the outside world even. I see some pretty nice weaponry there too. Anyway. All in all you did a bang up job with that small area you chose. Thanks for posting the picture. Appreciate it on this end._

its a very large room, about 450 sq feet, has a drop down ceiling and overhead lighting. theres a pool table on the other side which has only ever been used as a clean laundry dumping ground, so that's leaving a.s.a.p. putting a couch, big ol' flatscreen and reinforced bars on the window, since this is my basement and on back of house. still torn on re-doing the wood floors or going carpet. i like the wood but carpet makes a room so much more cozy.

was going to comment on the rifles in view of the window... bars will give the look that it's harder to get in, but make sure you have both good security, & a tough to enter home... in general I don't like the idea of anyone looking in the window, & being able to see anything easy to steal... I wanted to display my collection, & it took me 15 years to realize my dream of a fire proof, walk in gun safe room, big enough for a couple reloading benches
as for the floor, I'd keep the hard wood... maybe put a rug over by the seating... spent primers, tumbling media & even sometimes spilled powder have a way of finding their way off the bench & onto the floor on occasion... the hard wood will keep those from getting lost in the carpet

we settled on eopxy, the dark color woods are out of my price range right now. as for the window, the blinds will stay closed, and i will somehow reinforce it. either bars or chain web. i know nothing can keep anyone out, but it can slow them down. my house rarely has no-one home.
