Anyone has Sig 2022?

It's hard to find pistols in people's republic of Kalifornia. One store only have Sig 2022, I just want to hear from someone that own it. I honestly never heard of this model as I am out of touch for a long time. I only know P226, 320.

Thanks

If you like DA/SA pistols, the SP2022 is a great pistol at a good price.
I have the 9mm version and I prefer the trigger to the classic Sigs.

It’s basically a P226 with a polymer frame. Watch the hickok45 video on it. I have one in .40.

I had one in .40 S&W.
It's fine for what it is. It'll work just fine for the average person.
But wasn't really right for me and I didn't have a good use for it.

Use mine as a bedside gun. A bit harder to take down for cleaning than the Glock but a lot nicer to shoot. Mine is a German made version with night sites from a Cabela's sale some years ago for $499.

Great weapon and before the madness you could find them for under $400. Love mine in 9mm

I have one in 9mm. I think its a great pistol. It is sort of the red headed step child of the Sig family. It really doesn't get the respect it deserves. If you like a pistol with a hammer, I think its a good choice. It shoots really and its about the size of a G19 so it carries well.

Though nothing wrong with it, there is nothing really right about it given all the other choices

Hugely wide. PX4 costs less and is a DA/SA hammer. Costs same as a P99 which has a better DA/SA. Etc.

Okay deal when they had 3 mags, holster, and ns for 399.

I love mine. I shoot better with it than any of my other pistols.

As was mentioned, it’s a bit chunky. I had one and I wouldn’t use it for concealed carry. The DA pull feels a bit long, but I enjoyed shooting the pistol.

I've had it's predecessor, the SP2340 since 2002.

At its price point ($400-$500), it is pretty fantastic. More or less a classic P-series with a polymer frame.

Aftermarket support is lacking, but Galloway Precision does make some parts.

Great gun

I've had a 2022 in 9mm for years. I used it for IDPA for a long time. Double action is a little heavy but the single action rivals any gun i have ever shot. Uber reliable. I have a story shooting the Mississippi State IDPA match in 2014, I think. The dirt at the range was like baby powder. Glocks, 1911's, nothing would run. Jams after jams after jams. I didn't have a single issue and finished 3rd in a field where i should have finished 10th. Not from talent. Just from having a gun that could run dirty.

I own both an SP2022 in 9mm and its older sibling in 40, the SP2340. Both utterly reliable, accurate and inexpensive. I own three West German Sig's and the two polymer framed guns shoot just as well. Other than the polymer frames, the biggest difference I notice going between the SP gun and the P series is the slightly longer DA trigger pull of the SP guns. That being said the SP's trigger pull is smooooooth.

I've owned two, and currently have one. Great pistol, like someone else said just think of it like a polymer framed P226. In fact, I sold my P226 and kept the SP2022 because I just shot it better.

If someone is looking for a solid DA/SA pistol, this is always my first recommendation. The decocking lever location is hugely superior to that PX4 and others that have slide mounted decockers.
