SBR Qestion?
I recently purchased two Anderson multi caliber lowers to build an AR pistol on one. I'm thinking I might go ahead and build SBRs out of both. How do I start the stamp process? When I purchased my suppressors I did single shot trusts from the Silencer Shop kiosk

I would never build an SBR on an Anderson lower. I like many people have had dimensional issues with them. If I’m spending $200 to SBR a lower, it is going to be and Aero or other high quality lower.

Thanks for your opinion, but that doesn't answer my question.

BATTF's web site has all the information you need.
It really depends on if you want to include it on your existing trust, or simply make it as an individual. |

Efile is the easiest way to go if you’re doing a Form-1. Go to the ATF website and order fingerprint cards before you start the process. They are free. When you finish the forms, you’ll print a cover sheet to go with the cards and the instructions will tell you where to send them. Also, you can do your prints yourself. No need to go to a PD to get printed. All you need is an ink stamp. Practice before using the cards.

FireCop, I don't believe the Single Shot Trust is set up to add another firearm. I'm pretty sure that's a single firearm trust, but additional people can be added.
So you need to get another trust set up, or just file as an individual. Fill out the form 1. Get fingerprint cards. Get photos. Date, sign, mail with $200 check. It takes about an extra month to get the stamp, vs efile. Not a big deal, in my opinion. Once you have the stamp, or while waiting for it, get the lower engraved. Then configure as desired and have fun. Quote:
It doesn't have to be an impulsive shot in the dark. If the lower is good, the lower is good. It doesn't matter what name is engraved on it. I used to hear the same things said constantly about Aero vs PSA lower receivers. You know who made PSA lowers at the time? Aero Precision.

If you have questions about how to fill out the form 1, I'm sure you can ask here.
I've had to figure it out, as I'm sure have others here. There are also online guides - some good, some not so good. But you can compare and contrast. I'm sure you know, but I must be clear since I left it open-ended previously. No matter when you get the lower engraved, do not assemble it in the SBR configuration until it is engraved *and* you have the stamp in hand.

Here's a good walkthrough of the e-form 1 process.
https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/-...age=1#i5015866 You can take your time, fill out the form and make sure everything is right before you submit it. Even if it takes you a few days, you can log out and come back another day. If you have any questions about any of the sections, ask here or on the AR15 NFA section. Folks will help you. Once you've done one and get past the learning curve, it's not complicated. I've done 6 e-form 1s now (as individual). I take my own picture and even roll my own fingerprints.
