Final Call for Shotgun and Carbine in Phoenix, Jan 2002

First, if you guys are not subscribing to SWAT, you are making a mistake. I have either subscribed or bought at the news stand for over 15 years. I only wish I were good enough to contribute to the magazine.

Second, final call for Shotgun and Carbine in Phoenix.

We have been requested to teach two classes in Phoenix in 2002.

January 23, 24, 2002 Shotgun, cost is $270 including range fees. This class will move very quickly, as it will be a refresher for some and move directly into more advanced concepts. (Night shoot will be on the evening of the 23rd) This program will focus on close range urban encounters, target systems to be utilized will include steel, 2 and 3 Dimensional paper, simple to very complex moving 3 Dimensional target systems. Shooting on the move will be emphasized in this program. Complex decision making problems will be presented and ammunition selection will be critical for the 3 Dimensional shooting problems. Shooters will need 300 rounds bird shot, 50 rounds of slugs, 100 rounds of buck shot, 100 rounds of handgun ammunition. The wearing and use of the handgun is required in this program. Days will be long in this program. Students are requested to bring their own lunch and drink, no glass containers are allowed at this facility. Down time will be at a minimum in this class. Eye and ear protection is required, knee and elbow protection recommended. A 50% deposit is required by December 15, 2001. Class is strictly limited to 12 shooters. A minimum of 8 confirmed shooters is required before we will confirm this class.

January 25-27, 2002 Urban Carbine, cost is $380 including range fees. This class serves as both refresher and introductory carbine. (Night shoot will be on the evening of the 26th). This class will be a fast paced program so as not to overburden the beginning carbine shooter and so as not to bore the experienced shooter. Targeting systems will include steel, 2 and 3 Dimensional paper, simple to very complex moving 3 Dimensional target systems. The shooter will be required to exercise extreme precision throughout the program, gun handling issues will be simple to complex. 3 Dimensional moving problems will be utilized in this class for day 2, the night shoot and day 3. Expect long days, for the entire class. Shooters will need 1000 rounds of carbine ammunition, 100 rounds handgun ammunition, eye and ear protection is required, knee and elbow protection is recommended. A 50% deposit is required by December 15, 2001. Class is strictly limited to 12 shooters. A minimum of 8 confirmed shooters is required before we will confirm this class.
