bolt Markings

I have what I believe to be a Remington 1903. the onlymarking I can find is PB on the bolt and C4469 behind the sight. Any one know what those marks indicate?

Is the bolt marked "PB" or "BP"? I ask because some of what I'm reading states a "BP" marking on the bolts designates manufacture by Bay Products, who were sub-contractors.

Not sure about the C4469 as I thought serial numbers started with 3,000,000.
