AR rookie build question
I was thinking of doing a first AR build. Never done this and the number of barrels, receivers and buffers is mind boggling. Is there a standard barrel thread for most receivers?
I know the gas block has to match the Barrel measurement at the gas outlet port but I don’t seem to find anything on the Receiver side of the barrels?

The barrel isn't threaded on the chamber end but is held on with a nut. The receiver and nut threads are universal though. Find a AR build youtube.
