Fixed my neighbor's tractor so he brings me a thousand each of 38, 357 and 30-30 once fired brass.

Don't know where he got them, don't care.

Anyway he came over today to get me to replace the hydrolic rams (he had the rams) and decided to pay in advance so he gave me 2000 pieces of 9mm once fired brass.

Told him next time he broke his tractor that I could sure use a couple thousand pieces of 45 ACP.

He just said, "I'll fix you up".

Now if I can just find some one with some 22s or primers with a broke tractor.

Goods for favors will always work, I can't count how many baked goods & home cooked meals I've gotten for computer repair

Course, the IRS does want you to report the brass as income, but I won't tell them if you don't.

Now that there will work for me any day of the week.BUT what happens when he runs out of brass to offer,are bullets next in line/powder,primers I wounder.

That is pretty cool! I have also been playing the game.

I traded a can of triple 7 for 30lbs of lead to a guy up the road. Another guy was looking for components and I just happened to have the 30cal 110gr bullets he needed (100ct). He swapped me for 400 magnum large rifle primers. (yeah - I think i got screwed a little on the deal too.)

It pays to have stuff other people can use. I grease the landowners palms with smoked fish, home made wine and other 'goodies' when I can.

We need to get used to playing this game and get good at it - our lives may depend on it waayy to soon!

And how you also get around any BS gov't issues about psych requirements, taxes, or anything along those lines.

I suspect that we will soon be forced back into the 19th century - between gov't regs, O'care costs, laws, taxes, etc., folks WILL find a way to carry on with their daily lives with a minimum of interference

Captain that's a good deal for both of you guy's. Just this weekend my wife cooked a giant pot of chili for the neighborhood gang,(mostly us ole blue collar boys) and when the second big snow hit one of them came down or street with his BobCat and cleared my driveway and most of my neighbors' driveways, about five of them....

Its a cool neighborhood gang I'm in.

Most of the favors in my neck of the woods (southern Illinois, no where near Chicagostan) are done for beer. Can't remember ever helping put on a roof or cut wood or whatever where the payment wasn't beer. This reloading materials payment is a good idea. May have to bring that up next time.
