Changing threads

I posted to a thread that changed overnight. The thread I responded to(after checking it three times was a question about Mossberg 500 plugs but was in the bolt rifle section. In the morning, my suggestion that it be moved to the shotgun forum was attached to a thread about the future cost of shooting .22. I didn't see where the original post had been edited.

I also notice several posts lately that were deleted by the poster with the explanation of "wrong thread".

Has anyone else had issues where the thread changed after posting?

southwest1 rewrote his whole post. You're not crazy.

PW, look at the "Last edited by ..." explanation at the bottom of Southwest1's post. What he did is never a good idea (completely change the topic of a thread after it is submitted), but it explains what you saw.

Thank you.

I was worried that there might be something wrong with the Forum that might turn people away which would be pity since I think this is a great forum!
