Rem 11-87SP Turkey Gun

Anybody shooting the Remington 11-87SP turkey shotgun? I was thinking of getting one for woods work/camping in Griz country, using slugs. What do you think. Are they pretty reliable?

I picked up an 11-87SP 21" (I guess that's the turkey model) about a month ago off Gunbroker. So far it's eaten everything I've fed it (except light target loads of course) and is very soft shooting.
