.22 PPC brass

Trying to learn about the custom built .22 PPC that I've inherited.

It came with 220 Russian reformed brass. I've seen 22 PPC Norma & Lapua brass on the net.

Is there any difference and can the Norma and Lapua brass be used in a custom rifle?

As far as bullets any suggestions for prairie dogs?

Brass manufacture should not make too much of a difference. Norma and Lapua are both top quality brass. If you want something more affordable, you can maybe form 7.62x39 russian into .22 PPC. That would make brass much more affordable and available. You might have to turn the necks or ream them because the brass will get thicker sizing it down that much. I have a 6.5 Grendel that I can form brass from 7.62x39 and the grendel is based off the PPC rounds. Maybe someone else here is more knowledgable than I.
