wow...that's an oldie...
Ithaca bought out Lefever in 1916. In 1927 they intorduced the Lefever Single Barrel Long Range field and Trap model. That's a keeper for sure....congrats... **edit. also, I don't know if this will be useful to you, or if you already know all about the gun, but...scroll down 3/4's, and you'll see the Lefever name. It'll tell you what year it is.... http://www.doublegunshop.com/dgsnos3.htm Lefever Single Barrel Guns - (Made by Ithaca Gun Co.) Cheers.

Between 1935-1936....I'm sure the engraving hurt it's value...but is a good squirrel gun....

Everyone will have an opinion on the value, if you like it, that's really all that matters.
I almost bought an old single shot .410 last week, but opted to go for new. A Mossberg 510 Mini Super Bantam .410 G for my wife's xmas present... Obviously I'll need to play..oops...I mean, test, it out for her before hand. cheers.

ripjack...thanks for the info....
olddrum...I kinda like the engraving...It probably cost as much as the gun.... The blueing on barrel and the wood look good....I don't know what kinda finish was on the receiver....

I think that might actually be acid etching, rather than engraving. Could you post better pictures?
Regardless, it was done by a master! |
