Rainier bullet in 30 carbine

Has anyone got any experience using rainier bullets in the 30 carbine. I notice on their web sight that they recomend 1200 fps and under for their bullets.

I have used Frontier plated and many more of Berry's plated in .30 Carb.

I don't know for certain if your Ranier are the same/similar, but I will tell you this:

Berry's also recommends 1,200 FPS and under for their plated handgun bullets, but say that their .30 Carb slugs are good to 1,950 FPS. So, maybe that info helps as you load your Ranier.

If it doesn't help... then punch up Berry's. I'm a pretty satisfied regular customer of them. Friendly, quick, and great product.

A general statement from the Rainier website:

Quote:
In general, our bullets typically perform their best when shot at velocities no greater than 1,200 to 1,250 Feet per second (FPS).
A better statement from Midway's website specifically concerning Rainier's 30 carbine bullets:

Quote:
Rainier recommends a maximum velocity of 1,500 fps
I called Xtreme Bullets, and they recommended a max of 1,500 FPS as well.

I decided on Berry's because of the claimed higher velocity.
