I think the internet is goofy today. The missing posts magically appeared.

Maybe because I tried to grab a thread while a moderator was tinkering?

FWIW, when I saw the note about a moderator screwing with the posts and knowing that that is not done without an explanation given, I tried to open the thread in question and got a 404, file-not-found message. A push of the Refresh button brought it back. Sounds like there was a momentary server glitch at the time.
