Found A True Bargain

Came across this Charter Arms .22 Magnum revolver today at the local pawn shop. It has a non stock ejector rod, but it functions perfectly. Bought it for $100 out the door.

For that price I'd say you got a good deal.

It's a specialty item, but if you're in the market for one that's the sort of break it's nice to find!

Cool little gun. Does Federal make their Punch self defense ammo in 22 Magnum?

Wow. Not bad at all.

I'm not a big fan of the .22 Magnum, but for $100 I would have opened my wallet.

I'm another one who sees no need for the 22 Magnum cartridge, but at that price, I would have had a hard time walking away. Good score!

I use Speer Gold Dots which expand reliably through a short barrel. That's a great deal.

How do you know that they expand? What tests, using what test medium do you base that on.

I like it and the 22 mag, CCI snake shot should work great out of the little thing. Good variety of 22 mag ammo (if you can find it in stock) because of the 17 HMR's coming on the scene.
22 WRF if you can find it does pretty good in a magnum and doesn't bust your ear drums.

Great Find at a great price! One of the earlier Stratford guns, they had a good reputation for reliability. I picked up a Bridgeport .38 Undercover at an estate sale for $86.00, but that was 20 years ago. I wish I still had it.

Congratulations! I've never shot a .22 magnum but I sure would have liked to shoot that one.

Lots of gel tests on youtube. Just do a search.
