Load recipe AA#5 and 230gr 45acp
Can anyone suggest a load recipe for AA#5 and 230gr LRN 45acp. Accurate Arms website shows 7.8 to 8.7 for FMJ but has nothing for LRN.
Wondered what others use

I don't load .45, but my Lee manual gives 7.7 grain min and 8.5 grain max with a minimum OAL of 1.230 for a 230gr lead bullet with AA#5.

Wow
I loaded some 45acp using AA#5 with 8.0gr which is about 1/3 from the bottom of the range (7.7 to 8.5) suggested by AA. This is the 1st time using AA#5 for 45acp, I had always used Win231 or Bullseye. I was surprised how much more "pop" the rounds had loaded with AA5 than they do with 231 or Bullseye even with 231 loaded toward the max and AA5 loaded toward the low end.

I generally use AA#5 for jacketed bullets, to utilize the velocity potential of this powder. I feel like I've had a .45 ACP makeover! I'll have to give it a try for lead too.
