No. They keys to semi auto size are breechface and magazine. The g23 only fits a 10mm breechface and 40 length mag. You could convert to 9mm, but if Ben that is suspect.

Over the counter conversion barrels exist for the following...

40S&W Glocks >> 357 Sig or 9x19mm
10mm Glocks >> 40S&W or 9x19mm (and 357 Sig if you hand ream the 9x19 chamber)
45 ACP Glocks >> 40S&W

The real problem would be the .40 S&W works at 22,000 psi and the 10mm something like 35,000 psi.

Now the 10mm case, being thicker, you can cut it down to .40 length and then MAYBE load it a bit hotter while putting a heavier recoil spring in.

But that would be a lot of effort to gain 50 fps or so.

Thank you guys, now I understand. If I want a 10 mm glock just buy the model 40 I hear it's a great gun like all the other Glock's. Love their guns

If you like the G23 consider a G29. They are about 1/8 thicker, but almost identical in other dimensions and will take the 15 round G20 magazines. There are also some hotter 40 S&W loads from Double Tap and Buffalo Bore that will match or beat a lot of 10mm loads.

I agree with jmr40.

Glock 29 if you want a 10mm (but of course while I have a Colt Delta Elite 10mm one always needs another 10mm!)

Just buy some underwood ammo for the G23 and you will be happy.

The problem isn't finding a conversion barrel -- the problem with wanting to run 10mm in a Glock 23-sized gun is that the gun's grip size is too small: a 10mm round just won't fit in the 23's grip frame. The overall length of the 10mm round is 1.26", while the .45 GAP (which will fit in a 23-sized frame) has an overall length of just 1.07".

Glock makes a sub-compact 10mm -- the Glock 29 mentioned by jmr40 -- but not a 23-sized Compact in 10mm. The Glock 29 is a bit smaller in most ways than the 23, and has a shorter grip which holds that holds fewer rounds with a flush-fit magazine. Higher cap mags are available.

I have a G29. Sweet pistol and I have a 40sw, 9x25 Dillon and extended 10mm barrels for it.
