Steyr AUG A3 Optics Suggestions

Title pretty well sums it up. Purchased a new AUG with extended rail and am looking for input on optics.

And.... GO!

I had a Micro-tech copy of the AUG. I ran an Eo-Tech and loved it. These guns are not long range target guns. The triggers are not exactly “match grade” so…..

Sorry so late to the party!

My AUG started off with a TA110 that I bought on a whim and got rid of almost as fast (heavy pig lol), then switched to my favorite ACOG, TA33 GH riding in a Bobro QD Mount (the lightest of this particular bunch, but heavy compared to my TA44C), but now it wears a TR24G in an Aero Mount (total weight of optic and mount is 17 oz.). In spite of being a tad bit heavier than the TA33 setup, it just works out much better for my needs. Here’s a few pics:

Perfect match for a 16" AUG
Gives you fast and close plus range
Some will claim that it is "way too heavy"
But it's similar to other red dot & magnifier combos
Every bit as tough as the AUG itself and should last a lifetime

I've also run an EOTech + magnifier combo which works well
