What rifle?

My biggest problem with the .350 has always been the annoyance factor of the belt.

In a short action like the 660 heavier bullets have to be seated too deeply to get the full advantage of the cartridge -- they take up powder room.

Stock design on the 660 also stinks and tends to beat people up.

In a longer action you lose one of the benefits of the short cartridge.

In its best loadings the .350 is just slightly more potent than the .35 Whelen.

I have a Remington Model 7 Synthetic stock. For all practical purposes, the 673 is nothing more than a gussied up model 7.

I use a weighed load of 58 grains IMR 4320; Federal large rifle primer and 225 grain Nosler Partition. Good elk load.
I've tried 250 grain bullets with a variety of powders/powder weight and have not found one to my liking.

I'm pretty certain that the magazine on the 673 is longer than it was on the rifles originally chambered for .350, so you should be able to make much better use of heavier bullets.
