Mare's leg lop?

For a fun project I have bought a used wood Ruger 10/22 carbine stock to make an extra stock for my Ruger Charger in a mare's leg configuration. Just wondering from some of the members here as to what is the length from the trigger to the end of the stock (for what would be called the length of pull on a rifle) is on your purchased mare's leg?

Be careful you don't create an NFA firearm for yourself.

I've been there and this is true. Even though the Charger is classified/registered as a pistol, I'd be converting it into a Short-Rifle, which is taboo. .... Darn

If you merely change the type of grip, without making it into a shoulder-fired gun, there should be no problem.
Removing most of the buttstock would eliminate the shoulder-fired aspect.
You'd just be building a different hand grip for an existing handgun.

Unless I misunderstand Rep.

If it's on YT you know it's true.

I saw a story about some Federal agent(s) taking some kind of Air-Soft or kid's plastic model of a real gun. I would be real careful in the industrial arts development classroom when skirting any Federal gun rule or regulation.

My Henry Mare's Leg 22 is classified as a handgun. It is right at 7.5" (centerline) with is the length of the stock as the stock stops just above the trigger.
