Superposed nuts look here!
I got to see these and touch them since they are so close to me. Wow, I mean wow! The pictures do not do them justice. I wish I could but I can't because I've been out of work for a while. WOW!

Confused?
Nice guns, but where would you attach the tactical accessories. I guess you could get a gunsmith to modify them.

Wonder what the reserve is?......bet it's close to $20,000-$30,000 and probably worth it. The Jose Baerten engraving is some of the most sought after of any produced. He was master of the masters...The Midas and Presentation model are nearly worth that.
West Palm Beach location.....humm?.....perhaps the owner's a victim of the Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme, it hit this community pretty hard. |

Madoff.........WPB.........
Yes, I don't know exactly the owner, but they came from Palm Beach Island. Yes, this area has been hit extremely hard by the economy with the Madoff think being an additional kick in the teeth. When I went to see the guns I asked the reserve... your range is correct....and yes, I believe they will eventually sell for that if they stay together. I would be too bad if these are broken up. I also know where there is a matching pair of B-25's (what they call the superposed in europe): 28-guage, Grade VI, unreal wood, unreal engraving, the asking price is $24,000. That is a steal. And, a 20 gauge Citori, english walnut stocked (very nice), and signed engraving Grade VI, asking $11,000. This one can be purchased for much lower. These also came from two other people on PB Island. Anyone feeling good about the economy? Last edited by Waterengineer; March 6, 2009 at 10:27 AM. Reason: additional info |

Nice photos - thanks for sharing them.
I don't have any doubt they'll sell for at least $ 30 K / they have a cult following - but it will take a specific buyer that really wants them / and that the guns really fit. Some of them look like they might have a lot of drop at the comb / but I couldn't really tell too much on combs. If you're asking whether anyone here is going to bid - personally, I'll pass. |

Here's my "poor man's version" of the guns you saw. This one is a Browning BT-100 32" Leo's special - engraved and gold inlay was done by Browning on 200 guns in the 1980's - and I bought it used. Mine is # 110 of the 200 guns made.
But not quite a superposed ... let alone the quality of engraving you saw. Shotguns 11-10-08 010.jpg Shotguns 11-10-08 008.jpg Attachment 43554 Last edited by BigJimP; December 14, 2016 at 07:31 PM. |
