Scope OK?
I have a 2.5 power Tasco shotgun scope that came mounted on a Winchester 1300. It rattled, so since it was an inexpensive scope, I disassembled it and found that it was evidently disassembled before and crossthreaded when reasssembled.
I put it back together correctly and it no longer rattles. As long as I don't expect it to be moisture/air tight anymore, do you think it will work OK? I plan to use it on the 1300 with a slug barrel, and carry a tool to remove it if it does fog up while hunting. Thanks for the input. Shodan |

Shodan, sounds like you have it well in hand. As long as you're getting reasonable windage and elevation adjustments, you should be just fine, don't you think?

Chugach,
Thanks for the input. Yeh, I think it will be OK. I might be concerned if the shotgun was my only gun and/or I was away on a big hunting trip. But in my case, if I have a scope problem I'll just go to the house and grab another gun. Since I have tags for four deer this year, I thought I'd give the slug gun a try. Shodan |

Good hunting! I'd be interested in how you do this season...
