HD suppressor prep?

Ok so ive got my Ti-rant 9S ordered and until Uncle says i can have it, ive got an Octane45 to run on my HD pistol

My question is about running them (particularly the 9S) "wet"

I like the added sound reduction with a wet can. How does one go about that in a static situation like home defense?

What can be added to the can that wont just evaporate away in a week. Straight water is out. Id think wire pulling gel and similar would not work for an extended period of time.

Is there something i can put in and just leave in for months? White lithium grease??

Its not a big deal with the fullsize Octane but the little 9S will definitely be better with something added

I would leave the supressor off the HD pistol.

To me, shooting a silencer wet (whether it's water, lithium grease, or Froglube) is mostly just for recreational purposes. It's messy and it spits a mixture of carbon and liquid out of the ejection port (some guns even shoot it in your face; I'm looking at you, PPQ). Sure, it makes it a little bit quieter, but do you really need that for an HD gun?

In my opinion, an HD silencer serves a different purpose than a recreational silencer. When you're shooting for fun, you want your gun to be as quiet as possible. But for HD, you just want to lower the muzzle blast and flash down to a relatively safe level, and you don't need to shoot the silencer wet in order to do that.

I just leave my HD silencer dry. It's a lot less messy that way and I highly doubt I'll ever notice the difference if I have to use it in an HD situation.
