Load data for light bullets
I am looking at loading 125 grain bullets for my fathers 300 savage the load data i have only has 110 or 130 is it safe to load the 125 grain using 130 grain data? Not looking for a hot load just looking to reduce recoil as much as possible and still take deer.

Yes, you will be safe and with only 5 grains difference in bullet weight your velocities will be very similar.
Just make sure to use data for a similar profile and composition of bullet and start below maximum and work up. You should be just fine. Gary |
