Devcon WR-2 putty question
Have any of you guys ever used Devcon WR-2 wear resistant putty for rifle bedding? Im guessing probably not because its more than twice the price as the steel version. Only reason Im asking is because we have some at work and basically I am trying to save a buck. We use it for filling in worn spots on aircraft flap tracks so I know its tough s**t. Just checking with the pros in case im missing something. Thanks

I suspect that a putty will be too thick to properly form to all the small areas needed to do a good bedding job.
About the thickest bedding compound that works well is Brownell's gel type Accraglass. It's like a heavy cream, not a putty. |
