Military 7.62x51 headstamp I.D.
Thought I had seen about every headstamp out there.
The ammo is in square 20 rd. cardboard boxes with a white paper seal marked (top) 20 rounds (side) 308 WIN Headstamped - H 1 - on top and - 7.62 - on the bottom. Green colored primer seal on the majority of the bright brass (no annealing coloration) cases. Tried searching to no avail. Thanks, JT |

Its Austrian, Hirtenberger.. Good stuff. That headstamp could change from
box to box though, H1, HD, HO and H3 are what I have seen. |

Thanks tater,
A couple in a few of the boxes are marked H O. Trading for '06 ball that I have no use for. Good to know I can shoot it rather than pull down. JT |

I was shooting my heavy target rifle and For giggles, I striped five rounds out of my FAL and shot 5 for 5 clays at 300 yds. with my heavy rig.
Its very consistent stuff. Way better than the RG and Port, I think anyway. |
