I must be a gun nut
I saw a story today about the Detroit police chief being suspended for an affair with a subordinate. The affair came to light because the subordinate posted a picture of herself with a gun in her mouth.
My reaction upon seeing her picture, "Hmm, looks like an M&P." Anyone else have evidence that they are too far gone?

Yep I am THAT guy who has to explain to his friends what is wrong with gun X, gun Y etc and why the door of a normal car does not stop rifle fire nor will a wooden crate....Also I am that guy who gets vocally annoyed when every gun except an AK-47 is called an AK-47 by TV types.

Last night I was watching the tv show Numb3rs and noticed that somehow they managed to put an mp5 mag in backwards

My main concern during some of the recent mass shootings was how antis would try to get guns banned.
And I cringe whenever someone says clip. It drives me nuts, sometimes I imagine going back in time and kicking my past self repeatedly for ever thinking that was the correct word. |

Colion Noir on "you know you're a gun nut when". I'd say about half of his list is true of me.

Yup, you are a gun nut. Welcome to the club!!
I've caught myself doing the same thing... And anymore, when I see 5.56 rounds bouncing off a car hood I get irked. |

Many of those applied to me, and I don't even own a firearm yet.

I didn't see this on the "news". But if I had would it be an automatic or an assault weapon?

I'll play:
"Gun" was the third word my daughter learned after "fish" and "food" and long before she learned "Mommy" and "Daddy". For awhile my daughters name for me was "gun" because she always saw me grab the concealed pistol before I left the house. |

Well, Tom - did someone take a rod and hammer it down the barrel on the reversed round?

That HK mag is just an ambi-mag, that's all
re: clip. I have a rifle designed for them. Two really, but one has a scope now and the clip won't work- an M1 rifle and an M1903A3 rifle. One takes an en bloc and the other a stripper In WWII, many GIs called magazines 'clips'. You and I know that a clip isn't a mag. Don't let it bug you |
