your used brass source

looking to get an order of used brass in 9mm. 500 - 1000 or so. Possibly .380 also. Who's got the best prices?

Starline has some GREAT prices. I just bought 1000 .357 Mag cases not too long back, and they were really nice, and a good price.

I do pretty well on this forum and others. 9mm is one of the easy ones. Brass trading is a good and fun way to go. Five dollar flat rate box from each trader, and no money exchanged. What could be better. jd

If new brass isn't needed, why not just scrounge the local ranges?
Every time I go to ours, there's more brass laying around than anyone wants to pick up.
And since reloaders pick up theirs, the brass left is mostly once fired.
We who reload must be a small minority of range goers.

The brass is as advertised, mixed range pick-up, multiple headstamps. It's clean enough to load right out of the box. But I tumbled for 4 hours, made it really shine. I sorted the WCC stuff out, it has crimped primers.

That 10# is right around 1200 cases.

I pick my up from ranges. I have gotten some from indoor ranges for a really good price. I just picked up some really good priced brass right here in the forum under the classifieds as well. There is always lots of good stuff on there. Just wish I had all the guns and dies of stuff being sold on there.

. Matter of fact just got 2k .223 cases yesterday that I had bought on this forum.

I always ask people when I hear them talking about shooting what they do with there brass.Many of them will save it and give it you.A couple years ago a guy gave me a box of .357 with about 1000 empties in it.All of my 9mm except for a few boxes of factory I bought has been given to me.

My brass started from factory ammo I shot. I found once people at the range know you reload many of them will pick up their brass and give it to you. I have a bag I put my spent brass in. Often I wind up bringing home more brass then I shot. Occasionally I also wind up with some brass for calibers I don't plan to ever shoot.

The range I go to sorts used brass by caliber and bag it up. They sell it for a reasonable price. Since it is an indoor range the brass is fairly clean to start with. Some calibers they have a lot of. Others seem to be sold as fast as they can bag it. They have a lot more pistol brass then they have of rifle brass.

Starline brass is about as good as it gets.

Starline is nice but OP asked for used brass. Also, there's a difference between range pickup brass with unknown reload history (there's a reason why they were left) and once-fired brass.

I use range pickup brass for pistol calibers but buy processed once-fired rifle brass from TJConevera (The brass is cleaned, checked for cracks, deprimed and primer pocket crimps removed/reamed).
