I was afforded one because of the reasonable price. My S&W 627 R8 takes moon clips, but I had to have at least one. They're as nice as they look. They're about half the price of the Tunder Ranch ones and I think they look nicer.

Pretty much the same story with me and my TRR8; only two companies make loaders, and one of them is half the price

I found the 5-stars held my particular rounds as loosely, if not more so, than the moonclips, though. However, they are much more durable than loaded full moon clips, and can safely be stored in a pocket on my pack. If I get around to making a moonclip holder to go opposite my X-15 shoulder holster, I may have a tougher time choosing between them, though.
