Winchester 94 30-30 date of Mfg

My goose hunting partner asked me to try to determine the date of mfg on his 94 30-30. The serial # is 488093x. The x of course is the last number,as I have been told never to put the entire # on the internet. Why I dont know and this of course is another question for the experts to answer. Thanks

Your hunting partner's Winchester Model 94 was made in 1980. Hope this helps!
