IMR 3031 powder
I have old Federal 30-30 amo that won't group.
I decided to reload them with IMR 3031 powder that was in the store. Can this powder be used for .243 ammo? It's in the chart for 75 Grain bullets, and mine are 80 and 100 Grains. |

IMR 3031
I understand that this is a fast burning powder which is better for my 16" 30-30 barrel.
Can I reload all my ammo with the max. powder weight - i.e. 30.5 Grains without testing with with smaller quantity? |

Table
I just read the table - it says from 26.5 to 35.5 Grains so 30.5 is somewhere inbetween and it might do for hunting?

Start at starting loads and work up.
No, you can not start at max without working up, unless you're willing to risk your gun and your safety.
