Yep, I guess so. When Larry the Cable Guy is our Home town Hero, There might be a few Rednecks up here (50 percent rednecks, 50 percent hicks). You hear a few stories at the local gun shop when every one is around the cracker barrel drinking coffee and enjoying themselfs.

According to my 1983 Gun Digest, the RG 23 was imported by RG Industries and this model listed for $72.95.
I have seen these guns sold for over $100 recently, but I have no idea who buys them and what for. If it's working, and shows no signs of quitting, I say shoot it. After all, it's made in Germany, it must be good. Mark |

Joab, when I go to A & N, I wear my CIA hat, no I was not in the CIA, but people give me a lot of funny looks. I really don't mind it.

For the record, Reagan was shot w/a Model 14, also a .22. I have no idea what the differences in the models are.
I believe the 14 is a special Tactical SEAL Team Six Authorized, accurized version that can quickly be fitted with a silencer, night vision adaptable and is capable of firing .22 short, .22 Long AND .22 LR depending upon mission objectives. When things get ugly, get the only gun uglier than a Glock, get an RG. I might add, the frame of an RG has a higher melt point than a Glock.... |

As cheap as an RG is/was, sometimes it's all a person can afford. They were never intended to be target pistols or to be shot 100 times a week. If it's all you got, it's better than crying and begging "Please don't hurt me!"
The 2nd applies to poor people too.

sum1special
I shoot the gun with remington gold pack hollow points. And it works great i point the muzzel at somthing and it destroys it. For accuracy i cant really tell you considering i never shoot paper with it. Mostly apples and stuff. But it does real good on them. It seems to be pretty reliable, I have had it for a year and no problems at all not even a misfire. And for what you want to use it for i would say it is fine easily concealable in a pocket of a jacket or baggy pants. I got this gun for free so when it breaks down i wont be to sad. |
