I handled one at the local shop a month or so back, and it does not come with the optics....that's just silly. However, the light also has a built in laser sight. For HD, a light is a great idea and a laser sight is never a bad idea. It's just easier to point and shoot. If you don't like the laser, don't turn it on.

As far as feel, I was amazed at how heavy it was. It felt like 9 pounds or better but I didn't have a scale. The additional weight would help absorb recoil and get back on target quicker especially with porting.

If you don't like doubles for HD, that's fine. However, if you don't feel under gunned with 2 shots, it's got very reasonable upgrades for an HD weapon.

As for quality, I use a Stoeger for skeet/trap and am very comfortable with their reliability. There's really nothing bad about it except the optic they stuck on for the picture and that it's new and different.
