Anyone have any good loads for the .222?

my 222 likes h335 and 52 gr sierras the powder charge is moderate not max. I don't give out specific charge weights
I fear I might have a typo and cause some one a problem, so look in your load book for charge weights. I also seat out very close to the rifling and weight sort my brass and neck size. bb |

Hello,ronl. This probably isn't what you had in mind....55gr. Leeth nose-pour, Lyman #2 alloy, moly-coated, Hor. g.c.(annealed) .226dia. Lyman Super Moly lube, over 10grs. H4227 in RWS brass. Fed. match primer. Seated out to touch rifling leade in Ruger No.1...3/4" at 100yds.

I tried a lot of different powders in the 222, IMR 4198 was the best for 50, 52, 53, and 55 grain bullets.

I would like to hear anyones pet loads or other info as I just put an old 788 in .222 on layaway. My dad taught me how to shoot with one just like it and I loved that old gun
