Thanks VoodooMountain. I'll put Woodbury Outfitters on the list of folks I check. If they had a good deal like that once they just might again.

Just found a Daniel defense sale @primary arms. I want one of the "pro" models. Either a m4v11 or m4v7. They're going for $1544 right now with a free pair of glasses. I don't quite have the $$$ but I might have to jump on that.

Just FYI, that BudsGunShop MSR15 deal, is no longer running. They do have a Patrol for $550, which is still great, but I don't think we'll see them below $500 in the near future again. I am

Can't find the email now, but it was for an Anderson lower.

Thought it was primary Arms. I frequently get email blasts for low prices components. Did find one for 34$ but it's expired.

I find ARs interesting, and on my some day list, but not in a rush. But if I would have say $400, I probably would have bought one.

This would make a good stickie, or just need to keep it alive

Gun Pro Deals has H&K VP9s for under $500. I think I paid $480 for one there like a month ago. That's a smokin' deal.

sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore has a deal on Savage 10FCP-SR (and the leftie). $529 and it falls under the $100 rebate Savage is currently running. It's a 308 model with the 10rd mag, the same stock as the scout, but it has a heavy contour, threaded barrel with a pic rail over the action. Also has a super large bolt handle. 20" and 24".

Gun manufacturers put everything into manufacturing AR's, AR lowers and AR components. I personally have 3 AR rifles and 1 AR pistol....and I don't even like AR's all that much! The rest of them seem to be stuck making Glock frames and stuff, or 1911 frames and stuff, or AK stuff.

ENOUGH! If manufacturers would go back to making something more unique other than the 3 platforms listed above, we would be there to buy them.

Personally, I like nice quality, large capacity, steel frame 9mm's. Nothing much new and interesting there, but I wish there were.

Skans I hear ya..
Luckily I think this 3d printer revolution is real.
The even have 3d METAL printers now.. one company actually made a 1911 and shot it like 50 times.. no problems.
The Metal printers are extremely expensive but that too will change in time.

Then there is the table top CNC machines that are getting cheaper and cheaper.

So hopefully we can just MAKE what we want in the future if the laws don't kill them off first.

Give it another 5, maybe 10 years.. I think we're going to see a innovation revolution in this country where people who have no mechanical skills can map something out in CAD and have it built on one or more printers..

1 Step that often kills inventions is the prototyping stage, It's very expensive to have 1'off built.
3d printers are going to help change that.

I look forward to the day when they're cheap enough and good enough to get into it my self.

Thanks for the heads up.. they have both closed and standard open trigger guards.
What's everyone's thoughts on that?
Im thinking of going with the closed trigger guard, I don't see anything wrong with it and one less thing to deal with, on the other hand if by some chance it gets broken or change your mind, no way to change out.

BTW PA has a lot of other stuff on sale.. could make a AR up pretty cheaply

Standard Reciever 29.99: http://www.primaryarms.com/anderson-...eiver-ar-15-a3
Closed Ear 29.99: http://www.primaryarms.com/anderson-...wfor-um-closed
LPK Kit 29.99: http://www.primaryarms.com/anderson-...6-lw-parts-kit
DS Arms BCG 59.99: http://www.primaryarms.com/ds-arms-c...-zm485018509-a
DS Arms Charging Handle 9.99: http://www.primaryarms.com/ds-arms-a...atch-zm48517-a
M4 Stock/Tube Kit 19.99: http://www.primaryarms.com/ST007M-ST003M
Radical Arms 16in, 1:7, Carbine Gas, w/12inch M-lok Quad rail 149.99: http://www.primaryarms.com/FU16-5.56M4-12FCR

Total: 299.94 + ship + ffl
CHEAP build!

I picked up a bearcreek upper on sale last week.. it's off sale now though.
I paid 139.99 + 10 shipping
https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/urs...obcg-stainless
.. Get's delivered tomorrow actually.

EDIT2: Got the BCA stainless upper today.
Wow.. very impressed for the money.
Everything is right and tight, machining on barrel is good, the stainless flash hider is really stunning in person.. handguard is very solid and feels good in the hand, It's aligned perfectly with the upper & barrel.
If it shoots as good as it feels and looks I'll one happy camper.

It wouldn't bother me to have a closed or an open ear lower.

The regular lower kinda bangs around on my extra fat middle-finger in a slightly uncomfortable way. I'm not sure if the closed type alleviates that as I've never used one. I've thought about posting a question in the past about making it a little more comfortable.

Meh, I ended up picking up the BCG, LPK and 2 of the lowers, 1 of each.
the 2nd lower did nothing to the shipping cost and is only gonna run me another 5 in transfer fee's.. I have no need for 2 right now but Im such a women when it comes to saving a buck even though it cost more.

I probably shouldn't have but who knows when a spare lower might come in handy for a friend or ban.

Down side is PA will not split the shipment.. so I hope my FFL don't get bent out of shape getting non FFL parts in the shipment.

shipping was only 9.50 so pretty reasonable I'd say, although free would have been better

S&W New Rebates, July 1st to Sept 30th

https://www.smith-wesson.com/perfect...ideaway-rebate

M&P fullsize, compact, shield.
Get 2 mags, 2 boxes of ammo (looks like hornady defense)
and a cadwell mag loader.

Not as good as 75 dollar rebate they had running before if you ask me.
But this rebate includes the fullsize M&P which the old rebate did not.
The 75 dollar rebate they had running before expired yesterday.

However you have to select your state, and those living in mag restricted states like, CA, NY, NJ, etc get a alternate form for 75$ instead of the mags, ammo, magloader.
